Cayuga County District Attorney Brittany Grome Antonacci
The District Attorney is the chief law enforcement official in the county. There is one District Attorney elected in each of the 62 counties throughout New York State. The District Attorney is responsible for prosecuting all violations of New York State law that occur within the county, including: Felonies, Misdemeanors, Violations and Traffic Offenses. The District Attorney is also an advisor, advocate, investigator and legal advisor to the grand jury and police agencies in the county, with the ultimate goal of ensuring that justice is accomplished for everyone.
Our office covers a diverse judicial district that includes 3 County Court Judges, 2 City Court Judges, 27 Town and Village Courts, and 4 Specialty Courts. We work to ensure the efficient and fair administration of justice in each jurisdiction, coordinating court operations, case management, and community-based initiatives throughout the region.
